Hall of Fame goalie Lorne "Gump" Worsley passed away today at the age of 77.
Believe it or not I was related to Gump. He was my fathers cousin. He was a great goalie in a time where they did not wear masks. He is known for being the last goalie to wear a mask in a pro game. He didn't have a tooth that belonged to him.

I met Gordie Howe one time in Traverse City and he told me that Gump was one of the best goalies that he has ever seen. May he rest in peace. He has already left his mark on the NHL and will be remembered in the Hall of Fame forever.
