Suspended for one HALF of a game. This is freaking ridiculous. I know its said that he was trying to get retribution for something done earlier in the game but this is just insane. He tried to eye gouge someone! What would the punishment have been if he had been successful....the whole Vandy game? Maybe a the first half plus an extended time out in the corner? This is college football, not MMA. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if MMA organizations handed out more stringent punishments for fouls than that.
