I'll take those 3 right now! No need to wait 2 weeks. I hope Terry falls to the Lions in the 3rd round, that would be amazing.

What's everyone's thoughts for rounds 4. 6. and 7 if we could get those 3 on day one?
I say
4) James Butler, S, Georgia Tech
6) Gino Guidugli, QB, Cincinnati
7) Parris Warren, WR, Utah

I'd second that in a heart beat, only change would be to look at another DT in round seven rather than a WR. But that's a maybe.

I'll take the first four rounds, I'm not so sure about the 6th and 7th - I would have to take a look at who is still on the board. In total, I'd still take it in a heartbeat.

I don't see Butler slipping to RD 4, but i've been high on him since pre-season (check out preseason draft prospects, had him rated as #1 senior safety). I still believe that he is the best senior safety in this draft, and will be the first senior safety selected.

I think he will slip due to his average speed (4.49), his lack of starting experience, fairly raw technique, and his lack of strength. However, he will improve all those things and is a dedicated player. I don't really see him slipping to the 4th. I based that pick off of a few sites that had him projected to slide.

GBN is one of my favorite websites. I can't remember them ever predicting trades in their mock drafts before. It was very interesting. I really like who they had the Lions selecting, those are 3 outstanding players. However, I am pretty sure that Adam Terry will be long gone by the time the Lions pick in the 3rd round. I see Terry being drafted in the early to mid second round. Getting Alex Smith in the 2nd would be great, but that might be iffy, I just heard Mel Kiper on ESPN saying that he has Alex going to Philly in either the early 2nd round, and that would make sense for Philly to do that. And also Alex is planning on visiting Tampa Bay after he visits Detroit next week, so he may also be drafted by the Bucs with the 36th pick in the 2nd round. If Detroit is able to get Smith in the 2nd round, that would be awesome, but they may not be able to do that. Anything is possible.
