For your amusement - PFW's Draft value chart
Draft value depth chart
By Nolan Nawrocki
April 5, 2005
The value board below is based on PFW's grades and feedback from NFL teams. Each round is divided into three parts: A (early), B (middle) and C (late). Thus, 2B signifies the middle of the second round. Players could be drafted higher or lower based on team needs and fits within certain schemes. The value board may not list the exact number of players in a round as there are selections. More players are listed than will be drafted, especially in the last two rounds, because of the very minor difference between late-round draft picks and priority free agents.

Thanks! I really like that breakdown. It strikes the perfect balance between precision and variability. That is not all prospects, however, right? How did they select those candidates?

Good post lionstrax. I like the way they put this together and it is a solid way to assign value to each player. Essentially they are putting ranking players by putting them in value categories 1-21 (3 for each round). I like it.

Glad you like it. PFW has free access this weekend for there draft inner circle. To bad I had already paid for the service. Have been using them for insight for years, and I find they are more level headed in there evaluations of players then others.
