 Crabtree out 10 weeks
INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—Texas Tech receiver Michael Crabtree has a stress fracture in his foot that will sideline him from this weekend’s workouts at the NFL scouting combine.
Crabtree is considered the top receiver in this year’s draft class.
The NFL’s Web site said Crabtree would need at least 10 weeks to recover from surgery in which a screw will be inserted in his foot.
Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith confirmed the injury. Coaches were told of the injury inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Only reporters with the NFL Network were permitted to enter.
How will this affect his drafting?

I suspect it will drop him to the 2nd round if not the second day.

I hope your not serious when you say that... It may cost him 10 spots, total. He'll still go in the first half of the first round unless the surgery doesn't work (it has a 94% success rate with NFL players).

Sarcasm would be saying yeah man I bet he goes in the 7th round you're totally right. If you're going to cry foul, get the foul right.
If anything, I said it with a tone that says its pretty rediculous and no credible source has said anything about him falling to day two of the draft. But I thought I was being pretty nice all things considered... I'm a changed man around these parts lol.

As I posted in another thread he is going to put off the surgery so that he can run at his pro day.

That's the smart thing to do. Put off the surgery so you can run at your pro day. And not be ready to play when the season starts. LOL. Did he not pay attention to how Chris Johnson handled his toe issue last year?

I still don't think he'll fall past Seattle at No. 4.
