Draft Day Final Mock - Lions Picks Only
Tell us if it what you think they will do, what you want them to do, or both.
Mine is a Mix of Both. Each pick is in order of priority
1) QB Matt Stafford
20) MLB Ray M. / LT Oher / TE Pettigrew / CB Vontae Davis / DT Ziggy Hood
33) DT Ziggy Hood / C-G Alex Max / C-G Max Unger / OT Will Beatty / CB Darius Butler / CB Alphonso Smith / MLB James Lauranitus (moves to first priority if Ray is not pick #20)
65) DT Ron Brace / DT Fili Moala / CB Sean Smith / CB DJ Moore / WR-KR M Massaquoi / TE Jared Cook or Shawn Nelson
82) G Duke Robinson (if no oline so far) / CB BPA (Macho harris Maybe) / WR-KR BPA
174) KR-CB Joe Burnett / BPA
192 & 255) BPA

Here is the way I see it:
1a. Mathew Stafford - (Obviously)
1b. BPA
2. BPA
3a. BPA
3b. BPA
etc., etc., etc.
We got a long way to go. Let's "Move Forward!" and rebuild the team with talent. Do Not Reach! Do Not Reach! Do Not Reach!

Preach it, brother!
Well, they certainly are calling it BPA.

I'm not feeling very lucky that any of the following will still be on the board at #20:
Maualuga
Cushing
Jerry
Hood
Oher
Briton
So, we either draft Lauranitis here or punt the pick down to someone and add another pick later.
Lauranitis will not be there past pick #23, so, it wouldn't be a reach here.
_________________ Fisher or Joekel or Lane Johnson for #5 overall. I have settled on Johnson as my preference. The only thing Joekel and Fisher have over him is experience at LT. 2 years from now, Lane Johnson will be known as the best LT of this draft!

William Beatty (LT)
Michael Johnson (DE)
Max Unger (C/OG)
Ron Brace/Fili Maola (DT), or Scott McKillop (MLB) for the rest of the day 1 picks
Grab Appleby (MLB), Burnett (KR/CB), Sperry (TE) and whoever else they feel can fill holes on day 2.
Look at going after Brandon Spikes (MLB) and/or Taylor Mays (SS) next season, since that's what they've given us to do already--- look forward to next season.

I don't want Jerry. I like him, but just not for the Lions. They already have plenty of guys his size at DT and they need some bigguns' in there. He'll be a good pro, and he might be better then Cohen, but i'm not so sure about Fluellen. We'll see.

Apparently 64 picks going by him says that everyone agrees.

Only Cushing was gone by 20. I was kind of suprised as well. My Prognostications weren't much better.

Makes you wonder if the Lions had Cushing as the top rated MLB doesn't it.
