I am set that if we can get one of the top 2 defensive tackles, we must take him. If not Dunlap. If not any of those, definetly Mays. We HAVE to improve out D-line. Whether its getting a nice pass rush from a good DE, or help creating a wall in the middle with a good DT. We have to fix this "average at best" D-line. A good CB would be nice, but it all starts with the line.
I think there is a good chance that Levy is starting at MLB for us next year. So personally I am leaning towards McCoy or Suh

Hopefully Levy starts for us. Who do YOU think is a better DT, McCoy or Suh?

Kdsberman, I personally prefer Suh over McCoy, but you could get a different answer from everyone. Even though they are of similar size, McCoy plays like a penetrating Tampa 2 undertackle, while Suh seems more like the classic big body run-stuffer, who would better fit Scwartz's defense. But that's just me.

A classic big body run stuffer is the kind of DT id want us to get. Does he have any pass rushing qualities? Ive never watched him play. Thanks guys

This isnt going against anyones opinion, but after watching videos on Suh, he doesnt really stick out to me. Just doesnt seem like a real dominant DT like some other tackles thats come out. Please correct me if im wrong.

A run stuffer doesn't typically stand out in the crowd, but you make a decent point. I am not all that sold on Suh either. If I want a big bodied run stuffer, I'll consider Terrence Cody.

The problem I have with Terrence Cody is that it seems like he's never on the field. I watched a lot of Alabama football last year, and I'm guessing that he played less than 40% of the snaps. The guy is just too big and too out of condition IMO. Also, I think he's better suited as a 3-4 NT in the NFL.

I tihnk Cody fits the role of what our defense wants in DTs. I wouldn't touch him till the second. I also would only do that if we draft a big time edge rusher 1st.

Stallion, Cody will never make it to the 2nd round. One of the 3-4 teams will snatch him up sooner than they should because mammoth NTs don't grow on trees.
Hamma77, I wish I could have watched the Nebraska - Virginia Tech game, but ESPN showed a Big Ten game in this area instead.
