FYI, The Huddle Report computes the strength of schedule based upon the entire 16 game schedule, which I believe is more accurate. The Bleacher Report article only talks about the games played thus far.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. I was trying to get a handle on who has played the toughest schedule so far this season, so the Bleacher Report's approach is what I was after.

Looks like we'll be wasting another 5-10 million by picking first overall again...

Yeah, I am sick and tired of picking in the top 5.

Quick question about this.

Assuming a New CBA is signed before the draft, and said New CBA has restrictions on Rookie Salaries, would that go into effect immediately, or would it go into effect based on a specirfied date in the new CBA.

I mean could it get any worse than if we end up picking at #1, have to sign another 70 million dollar rookie in back to back years, and then the next team only has to pay 20-30 million to the #1 pick.

What a way to hamstring a franchise.

DJ-B, Goodell has already said that a rookie salary cap won't take effect in 2010. It will happen in 2011 at the earliest.

The Lions have moved up to #3!

1 St. Louis 1-8 .542
2 Cleveland 1-8 .542
3 Detroit 1-8 .549
4 Tampa Bay 1-8 .556
5 Kansas City 2-7 .514
6 Oakland 2-7 .521
7 Washington 3-6 .479
8 Seattle 3-6 .479
9 Buffalo 3-6 .500
10 Tennessee 3-6 .563
11 San Francisco 4-5 .486
12 Denver (from Chicago) 4-5 .493
13 New York Jets 4-5 .528
14 Miami 4-5 .549
15 San Francisco (from Carolina) 4-5 .556
16 Green Bay 5-4 .458
17 Jacksonville 5-4 .472
18 Philadelphia 5-4 .493
19 Atlanta 5-4 .500
20 Houston 5-4 .514
21 Baltimore 5-4 .535
22 New York Giants 5-4 .535

If we stay at #3 with the Rams and Browns ahead of us we may land Suh. The Rams might be inclined to take a QB and the Browns well who knows what they'll do but I could see them taking something other than a DT.

STL has HORRIBLE DTs. Quite possibly their biggest weakness. They'd take Suh ahead of us any day of the week.

I would agree that St. Louis has terrible DTs, but I am not inclined to say that they'll take Suh if they feel Bradford is their potential QB of the future. Bulger can't stay healthy, and Kyle Boller is better coming off the bench.

I could see St. Louis going QB. If not, they'll definitely take Suh.

The Browns may go with Dunlap if Suh is off the board. Otherwise, I think they'd take Suh and move him to DE in their 3-4. He'd be awesome in that role. Despite their QB struggles, I don't see them taking a QB if one is available. They could do the same thing with McCoy, and move him to a DE spot.

I'd love to see the Lions beat Cleveland so they don't force themselves into the top overall pick again. Getting Suh would be nice, but it would be much better if we got him with the third pick rather than the first pick.
