Do you want the #1 overall pick again?
If the Lions fail to beat the Browns there is a good chance the Lions will finish 1-15 and that might be bad enough for the Lions to wind up with the #1 overall pick again this year.
So, you want the #1 overall pick again?

No I really don't want it again. I was expecting us to win about 4 games and pick around 5-7. That's not gonna happen but I don't wanna be stuck at #1 again. Maybe #3 and we somehow still get Suh.

The cost for #1 overall this year should be about $75 million for 6 years and for #2 about $65 million for 6 years.
Right now the favorite to go #1 is Ndamukong Suh. So the only drawback to having that pick again is money.

If we go to an uncapped year, we could structure that contract to benefit us in future years.

I really don't want #1 again, but we probably deserve it. We have got to be the worst team in the league. Far and away the worst O-line, with the way they are performing Stafford will be in a body bag by the end of the season.
I won't even mention the deficiencies of our defense, I don't have that much time right now. I am officially changing my position on drafting BPA's for this years draft. Draft to fix the O and D lines exclusively.

C02, there really isn't much difference between the contracts of the first three picks (unless it's a QB), so it's irrelevant.
Billy, you couldn't be more wrong. Even if there's an uncapped year, the rookie pool will still be in place and the Lions won't be able to front load the contract. Besides, Ford probably doesn't have the available cash to do that anyways. In addition, it's looking more and more likely that a new CBA will be in place before the uncapped year takes effect.

No, I want the liosn to trade down to about 15. I am hoping their is a team like the Jets who fall in love with a QB.

I think Washington is our likely target. They might pull the trigger.

I'd prefer to trade back for extra picks of course, but as long as we get good players I don't really care...

We have to trade back, even if we get the raw end of the deal.
We need so many starters it's not funny.

S depth (Simpson is a solid starter IMO)

I agree. I would like to end up around 15 or so were we could either grab a LT(maybe Anthony Davis) or a CB(maybe Haden) We could probably pick up an additional 2nd this year and next.
