Goose - who is at the top of the draft boards
I had a chance to listen to Goose (Rick Gosselin) on the radio this evening, he was really struggling trying to compose his final mock draft. He said he had talked to 26 NFL teams and asked them who was at the top of each of their draft boards. I'm sure the Lions were one since he follows them closely, attended their training camp last year, and has plenty of contacts on the team.
Nine different players were named, they were:
Ronnie Brown - 8
Braylon Edwards - 7
Carnell Williams - 3
Alex Smith - 3
Cedric Benson - 1
Aaron Rodgers - 1
Antrel Rolle - 1
Adam Jones - 1
Erasmus James - 1
Missing of course is DJ. This means he wasn't at the top of the Lions draft board. Has to be either Edwards or Rolle?

Ronnie Brown is boom or bust. He has all the tools and more... much more than the other two backs. But he is relatively untested compared to the others. But there are teams that still like workouts more than anything else.... as is obvious by this poll.
That's good news for the lions. Maybe Merriman will slip into the top 10 as well.

I'm going to tell you right now. The top players on the Lions board are corners. Killer was right.
If Rolle or Jones were to fall to our pick, they will be the pick. ESPN Insider stated that the Lions had Jones AHEAD of Johnson, and if he were to fall to #10 (in my updated mock, he won't), he would be the pick.
Be ready for a shocker in my final mock at #3. I've finally went with someone, and I have yet to see him at #3 on any Mock.

Pablo this is interesting but I have no confidence that any of the 26 teams would be straight with Goose. Furthermore, we don't even know who the 26 teams were.
I have to take this with a grain of salt.
