 Brandon Spikes It appears that Brandon Spikes is slipping more in Mock's then he was originally projected to. If he were available to the Lions in the second round would you take him?

While I like Brandon Spikes as a player, he really isn't that fast and could be a liability in coverage at the next level. That's why he probably won't get drafted until the late 1st/early 2nd in my opinion.
As for the Lions drafting him, I guess it all depends upon what happens with Foote, Peterson, and Sims. If two of them return, then I can't see the Lions selecting a LB before the mid rounds. If only one comes back, then anything is possible.

Resign Foote and draft 2 CBs, a DE, a DT, and an OG.
Spikes is a luxury pick that the Lions cannot afford.

I do think he'd be a good pro but I think Roland McClain will be a beast and a good team leader. much rather have him

Sure, McClain might be great, but not in the 1st where I've seen him going in some mocks. If he were to take a Maualuga slide then for sure. I think Foote will probably stay, but just as protection plan in case he bolts.
