Jones is playing middle in Sparty land when he should be playing outside. It'd be nice if they'd get a true MIKE and let Levy play outside again. A CB is sorely needed, and LT can be found in the 3rd round who aren't world beaters, but can do just as good a job as Backus.

I agree about having Levy play outside. I think Follett is better suited to playing inside. Adding Jones would be pretty good.

However, I gotta question that part that I bolded. Most starting LTs in the NFL are first round picks for a reason. Also, in this coming draft it will be hard enough to find a decent tackle at all, let alone that deep into the draft.

Right tackles I can agree can be found in round three. But quality (not superstar) left tackles? I would say not really.

I wouldn't feel real comfortable trotting out a 3rd round rookie LT with my 41 million dollar QB behind him, but after a year, its put up or shut up. Lets see what Fox can do, if he can get some PT and learn from Backus. Backus is a willey vet, but his physical skills just aren't what they used to be. SD is starting Brandyn Dombrowski, an undrafted FA at LT... Doug Free from Dallas 4th Round, David Diehl, NYG 5th Round, Mario Henderson, OAK, 3rd Round.
