NFL PROFILE
Considered to be one of the premier tight ends in college football at any level, Bergen is a remarkable physical specimen with the size, strength, speed and pass-catching ability that professional teams covet
4.78 seconds in 40-yard dash ? 25 bench reps at 225 pounds ? 10-foot-1 broad jump ? 38-inch vertical leap ? 7.12 seconds in three-cone drill.
25 beches plus 10 foot broad jump plus 38 vertical equals 73 (Pat Kirwan would be all over this kid)!!!
Matt Jones look alike, Better athletism than Heath Miller as good as Alex Smith AIMO

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona Cardinals never found themselves in a position to draft a tight end. It didn't take long to find a rookie to compete for Freddie Jones' old job, though.
????? Within minutes after the draft ended Sunday, Adam Bergen of Lehigh got over the shock of being ignored by agreeing to terms with the Cardinals. Team spokesman Mark Dalton wouldn't comment on an incomplete transaction, but Bergen said he was not in negotiations with any other teams and planned to attend Arizona's post-draft minicamp on Friday.
????? ``I'll sign it when they get us out there,'' he said.
He hasnt SIGNED yet... but yes he did agree to terms...

Why would we need another TE? We just drafted the TE of the future in the first round, remember?
Sometimes I just cannot help myself.

My favorite day ever as a Lions fan.
Somehow landing the Ndamo-nator would be the second best day ever.

KFFL says they signed him. But doesn't agreeing to terms, especially with a UFA, mean they'll sign with that team? I don't know if I've ever heard of a UFA agreeing to terms and then signing with another team.

He was a pretty good looking prospect. There are still some other ones that aren't signed yet that the Lions could definately use that are good receivers and lack blocking skills, or have great blocking skills but are slow and run poor routes.
Alex Holmes, TE, USC - how did he not get picked up?
Andy Thorn, TE, UNI (Northern Iowa)
David Kashetta, TE, BC
Local Boys - Eric Knott and Jason Randall
Chris Holmes, TE, Toledo
