Re: Various Mock Draft postings for 2011
It would be fantastic to get Ayers and Carter. I don't see it happening though. Walter Football has a mock with the Lions getting Greg Jones at the top of the Second. I wouldn't hate that one either.

Re: Various Mock Draft postings for 2011
I agree with The Legend that Julian Peterson won't be back because of his contract. But, I can't see Akeem Ayers replacing him at SLB in a 4-3. He seems better suited to play OLB in a 3-4, but I think he could transition to a very good MLB in a 4-3. Perhaps, if the Lions draft him, he could move to the middle and Levy could play outside where I think he belongs anyways. I would also be very happy if the Lions could land Bruce Carter in the late 1st/early 2nd instead. Other LBs I'm interested in are Martez Wilson and Quan Sturdivant. They may not get the hype of some others, but they both simply make plays all over the field.

I REALLY hope the Lions can land Bruce... he'd be a great OLB to replace Peterson.

Re: Various Mock Draft postings for 2011
I think Ayers could play outside in the 4-3, but then again, what do we know? I don't like the prospect of having to move a guy out of his position in college to a new one in the NFL, except in rare occasions (Thomas Davis etc). I really think Levy is best suited to play outside also, and for the Lions to get a thumper in the middle. That's what they've been missing since Stephen Boyd. I guess Earl Holmes played ok in the middle in his tenure, but a Badass mother in the middle would be awesome, making the middle of the D Suh, Williams, BAMF, Delmas. I dare someone to run up the middle!

I still think we would be best off grabbing Prince. What I have seen from him is everything an NFL CB should be.

It's too bad Vontaze Burfict is just a sophmore, I would love to see him in a Lions uniform after watching him destroy the Arizona offense.

Re: Various Mock Draft postings for 2011
Curious if anyone else saw that game. They made a good comment about him. He has an incredible explosion into runners.
On one play the Runner has a FB leading, and Vontaze jukes the FB, and from a Standstill explodes into the RB, knocking him over backwards, even though the RB had 7 yds to build steam. this was at the 2 yd line, ball ended up at the 1.5.
Anyways, back to this years draft.

Absolutely awful. I really dislike the bleacher report, and this really shows that they're a bunch of choads over there.

Re: Various Mock Draft postings for 2011
The more I look at it, the worse it seems. Like they have Seattle drafting an OT, despite the fact they took Okung top 10 last year. And I love this logic: Quote: If Cincinnati were to add Jones alongside receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco, defense coordinators may be pulling their hair out trying to stop quarterback Carson Palmer from having a field day every time the offense takes the field.

That was by far the worst mock I've seen so far this year. They've got multiple stupid picks....and the Lions pick is one of the absolute worst. A.J. Green may be a stud receiver, but I think Burleson has been more than acceptable as a compliment to CJ. And while I agree that the Lions truly need to find another WR or two for their third and fourth guys, they don't need to get that guy in round one. Seattle taking a tackle, New England taking a corner, Cleveland taking a QB.....didn't all three do that last year with high picks? Cleveland is happy with McCoy, and seems ready to move on with him as their starter for the future. New England has got good young corners already, and although Seattle could use a right tackle, I don't think they go with one in round one when they can land a stud DL, a much more dire need for them. Bleacher Report sucks.
