I chose Carter, but wouldn't mind Dowling. That being said, will not be surprised if they are both gone by 44. If that turns out to be the case, then would think the Lions could be looking at G, WR or trading back.

Pablo, surprised that Ayers wasn't on your list.

Out of that list I chose Carter but I'm hoping he falls to us in the third. I know it probably won't happen but it'd be awesome if it did.

If there's a early run on QB's, as some are predicting, helps our chances that one of these guys slips through to 44.

i agree that would be a great scenario.but something has been nagging me the last couple days and i feel that at 44 wisniewski is a better pick then carter.and remember 2012 linebacker class is much deeper then this season

I, too, would absolutely love to land Wisniewski at 44. Get Dom outta there and lets run the freakin' ball effectively!

I'd have no issue with Wisniewski at 44, but I think he comes off the board earlier than that. In our mock draft here at Lionbacker, I picked him for Denver with their first pick in the second round.

I voted for Bruce Carter, but why not all or most of them? In another thread, I talked about trading out of the 1st round and accumulating 3-4 2nd round picks. In that scenario, I would love to see them land Ras-I Dowling, Bruce Carter, and Mason Foster (or some other combination of a CB and 2 LBs). There is real value in the 2nd for the Lions at positions of need, so I want to see them acquire as many 2nds or 3rds as possible.

Are you the other person who picked Mikel LeShoure then? :)

I think hes better a better pro RB than Ingram by Miles. Hes better than Mendenhall who did great for the Steelers. If hes there at 44 it would take less than 5 seconds for me to be at the podium for the Lions.

Agree. He would be my 2nd choice in a Tie with Dowling.

Carter still scares the crap outta me!

You couldnt pay me to take him before the 3rd round. The Lions just cant afford tow aste the 44th pick. Carter could be great, or he could be a injured never-starter wasted pick. Id rather they take any of the other LBs on the list if LeShoure, Wisniewski and Dowling are all already gone.

Could even effect #13. There's a legit chance Locker is picked in the #8-#12 area. One scout was even saying SF could take a shot.

i gave him a late first round grade so denver would love for him to fall to them with there 2rd pick.

It wouldn't surprise me if Denver took him with that earlier pick in the second round, but I think John Fox puts a premium on the lines more so than on the tight end position, even if the prospect is that good. Just my thoughts....

my thinking is based on the fact that they have nothing on the roster at the position.
