Re: Poll - Who do you think the Lions take at 44?
After knowing that they took DT Nick Fairley in the 1st, has your opinions changed any about whom they should select at 44? Personally, I'm still demanding a CB or LB, but who the hell knows what Mayhew will do?

There's gonna be a great value there. The three remaining QBs should go before we pick.

I'd be happy with any of the LBs but I voted for Dowling.

Re: Poll - Who do you think the Lions take at 44?
Lot of interesting players on the board:
CB: Aaron Williams, Ras-I Dowling, Brandon Harris, Davon House LB: Akeem Ayers, Bruce Carter, Matez Wilson, Mason Foster (not too mention Justin Houston and Brooks Reed who probably project to DEs) S: Rahim Moore DE: Da'Quan Bowers, Jabaal Sheard RB: Mikel Leshoure, Daniel Thomas OL: Marcus Cannon, Will Rackley, Rodney Hudson, Steve Wisniewski
I thinks WRs are too high here still.
I like RID at 44 cause CB is a huge need IMO. But I'm routing for Ayers to slip as well as a solid value pick at a position of need. I'd like to be picking between those two for sure.

Re: Poll - Who do you think the Lions take at 44?
In reality We'll have a good shot at a CB or LB that we would have targeted anyway had we traded back to the late 1st round. I'm confident that we'll get a good player out of the No. 44 pick. I voted for Dowling.

Re: Poll - Who do you think the Lions take at 44?
Since we didnt take Prince or Smith, (I liked the Fairley pick) I am now leaning more towards CB, but I will be happy as long as we get good talent value and dont reach.
I dont want Carter unless its the 3rd round.
Id be happiest with Dowling Now. Id be fine with LeShoure, Wisniewski, Harris, Ayers, or 1 of the other LBs.
Moved vote from leShoure to Dowling.

If Bowers is available at 44 we need to jump on that, unless the Lion's med staff knows something we don't.

What do you guys think about this trade option?
our 4th, 5th and 7th for anybody's 2nd or 3rd.
If we could walk away from this draft with 2 or 3 starters and no dead weight, I would be a very happy camper!
Look at Pablo's list and imagine that we could have 2 of those guys.

i think dowling is a nobrainer if he,s there.i think we can get a good linebacker come rd 3 like dent.also linebacker wont be a problem with this dline keeping the other teams oline very busy.our backers are gonna be running free like thieves in the night.just think if gunther lines them up like this on 3rd down and your the qb for the other team rde-kvb rdt-williams ldt-fairley lde-suh sslb-avril mlb-levy nkb-a. smith rcb-houston lcb-dowling fs-delmas ss-coleman not me brother i wouldnt want to face this defence

Think Pablo hit the nail on the head with this list of best of the rest. But, I do think Torrey Smith and Titus Young could be considerations when it comes to BPA at 44, depending on what falls before us. The only RB I would consider is Leshoure. We now have to sweat 11 picks, hoping one of the corners slip through. Personally, I'm hoping for a trade back, slide back in the 2nd to get an extra 3rd or 4th. Still lots of secondary talent out there. My favorites for 44, Dowling, Harris or Carter. Although Carter might be a bit of a reach. Wilson could be a consideration as well, if these guys are all gone.

Damn, thanks for that list M2K. I had no idea that there were so many quality players available.

We can't lose! Now that the Mustachioed Moron is gone, at least. If he were here still, he'd take someone and have all the other GMs laughing at him (again).

Re: Poll - Who do you think the Lions take at 44?
Knwoing who is left, here is what I hope:
1) DE Da'Quan Bowers 2) ILB Martez Wilson 3) CB Brandon Harris 4) CB Ras_I Dowing 5) OLB Akeem Ayers 6) OT Benjamin Ijalana 7) CB Aaron Williams
I'd add DT Marvin Austin to the list... but dang... that would just be too much no matter how BPA you are.

Re: Poll - Who do you think the Lions take at 44?
I'm not putting Bowers on my list, but I'll put faith into the Lions organization if they do.
1. LB Ayers - great value pick 2. CB Dowling - guy I really want 3. LB Carter - could be a stud 4. LB Wilson - seems like a can't miss 5. CB Williams - not sure if he is a safety 6. LB Foster - seems like a good fit to me 7. LB Harris - small but fiesty 8. RB LeShoure - hello 3rd-and-one 9. CB House - in da ....... 10. LB Moch - plays at moch 3
Not really that much difference for me in a number of these guys. I think a number will be in play so if the Lions get an offer to trade down a few spots and pick up a 4th I'd jump.
I'm pretty pumped about who could be there at 3 as well looking through this list. I'm actually thinking you might be able to pencil in our picks from rounds 2 and 3 in the starting role before Fairley as crazy as that might sound.
