 Tracking the Lions' Draft Order
I wasn't going to do this this year, but things have changed. Currently, the Lions would miss the playoffs and draft 20th.
1 Indianapolis 0-11 .540 2 St. Louis 2-9 .574 3 Minnesota 2-9 .574 4 Jacksonville 3-8 .494 5 Carolina 3-8 .511 6 Miami 3-8 .523 7 Washington 4-7 .455 8 Arizona 4-7 .472 9 Philadelphia 4-7 .506 10 Kansas City 4-7 .517 11 Seattle 4-7 .523 12 Cleveland 4-7 .523 13 San Diego 4-7 .534 14 Tampa Bay 4-7 .545 15 Buffalo 5-6 .506 16 Tennessee 6-5 .466 17 NY Jets 6-5 .488 18 NY Giants 6-5 .511 19 Denver 6-5 .523 20 Detroit 7-4 .563 21P Dallas 7-4 .455 22P Cleveland (from Atlanta) 7-4 .466 23P Cincinnati 7-4 .494 24P Cincinnati (from Oakland) 7-4 .506 25P Chicago 7-4 .517 26P New England 8-3 .443 27P New England (from New Orleans) 8-3 .455 28P Baltimore 8-3 .477 29P Pittsburgh 8-3 .489 30P San Francisco 9-2 .449 31P Houston 8-3 .438 32P Green Bay 11-0 .472

I don't get how Chicago gets in over us. We have the same record and we split with them. Plus, they now have Caleb Haney at QB.
And our SOS is stronger.

Re: Tracking the Lions' Draft Order
It all comes down to the Atlanta game. That's the difference maker and they won, we lost.

And our SOS is stronger. lol they don't use starting QB as a tie breaker. They get in above us because of record vs teams that we have both played. Basically the ATL game is the difference. Even worse that we lost the tiebreaker to ATL as well.

Re: Tracking the Lions' Draft Order
KC is beating the Bears right now 7-3 half way through the 3rd quarter. If they hold on and win, that should put Detroit back in front of the Bears in the wild card race. Pending of course the outcome of the Lions vs. the Saints tonight.

Re: Tracking the Lions' Draft Order
Bears Lost. Caleb Haney lead the Bears for a whopping 3 points. ROFL. This evens us up on common opponents with the Bears. Hoping the Lions can pull off one of those games where they win when no-one gives them any chance in Hell of winning.
Once we get past New Orleans, I think we will be all right. The Vikings - The Broncos just beat them 35-32 ROFL. Oakland should be a win. They just lost to Miami. San Diego is just having a bad year.
That's 3 fairly easy wins. That would put us with 10 wins. Which should be good for a Wild Card. If we can beat either the Saints or the Packers, that's bonus.
Also, Atlanta lost to Houston. So, they are now 7-5. But, they hold the tie-breaker over us. Hopefully, we can find some way of getting to 8-4. Knocking on Sly's noggin. LOL.
If the Cowboys don't win their division, and we finish tied with them, we hold the tie-breaker with them.

If the Cowboys don't win their division, and we finish tied with them, we hold the tie-breaker with them. 1. The Lions almost lost to the Vikings earlier in the year 2. The Lions don't travel well to the West Coast (Oakland) 3. San Diego still has some good offensive weapons With the way the Lions have played the last two games, I don't count anything as an easy win. Why? Because the Lions are playing against three teams whenever they take the field. The opposition, the officials and themselves.

Re: Tracking the Lions' Draft Order
I like the 20-25 range. I'd love to be able to land a really good quality OLman at the end of the first round, where they make a reasonable salary, and don't break the bank.

Re: Tracking the Lions' Draft Order
You really don't have to break the bank any more with first rounders, unless you're in the top ten, and even then its nothing compared to the last few years (when the Lions made a permanent home there).
I agree though, you can still get good talent and aren't as hamstrung to pick players in that range. In the top 10 you take DL, OT, QB, or WR. Now we can take whatever we want in this range.
