Seems like the draft has taken forever to get here, but that day is upon us now. Lots of unknowns this year make for an interesting draft.

Post all your thoughts on the first round of the NFL draft in this thread. You can join other Lions fans in the Lionbacker chatroom tonight starting at 6:00PM EST.

GO LIONS!

I don't think we will be able to trade up for Watkins. I have done hundreds of mocks on. 1st pick. I don't really like anyone at 10 any more than I like 2nd round players. So, IMHO, the best opportunities to trade down are:

If Manziel falls to 10, I am very confident we can convince Jerry Jones to trade up for him.

If 1 of the top 3 LT's are still there at 10 and the Rams didn't take one at #2, I think we can get them, the Giants, and maybe even the Dolphins into a bidding war.

I don't see too many other possibilities for trading down from 10.

If either of those happen, I can see us trading down even further with other scenarios coming into play.

I agree with both of you. It just doesn't feel like any of the players that will be available at 10 are worth that spot. With how sketchy the QB class seems to be this year a guy like Mike Evans that would make sense as a 10th pick is going to get picked up a few spots earlier than I think he would in other years.

I am pissed. I have been in line at a truck wash since 5:45. I expected to be squeaky clean, parked, and sitting in front of my PC by now. Instead, I am next in the wash rack.

Go figure. 2 minutes left until the pick and I finally get in the wash rack. So, I lose my XM reception until I am out.

Well Stevie Johnson is going to be on the trade block with the addition of Watkins and Williams a few weeks ago. Johnson has wore out his welcome in Buffalo with just about everybody including the fans.

Not gonna lie. That hurt.

It's gonna be incredibly painful when the Jim Schwartz and Sammy Watkins slap us around this year

I'm glad the Lions didn't trade up for him at that price. Two 1sts and a 4th is a LOT to give up for a WR.

I laughed at the idea it would only cost a 2nd round pick.

The real kicker is that unless they shock the world they basically gave up another top 10-15 pick for him. At that price he better be a 100/1200/10+ every year.

Last year was different though with no real players with that "wow" look that people wanted to trade up to get.
