 Supplemental Draft - 7/14/05
The NFL's supplemental draft will take place on the 14th. Teams that select one of the eligible players will lose an equivalent draft pick in the 2006 draft (ie. if you select a player in round 4, you give up a 4th rounder next year). I don't see any players really worth looking at for Detroit. Those who have declared for the supplemental draft that I have found are:
Roscoe Crosby, WR, Clemson
Charles Ealy, CB, UNLV
Ivory McCann, CB, Texas Tech
Vashon Pearson, RB, Ole Miss
Agim Shabaj, WR, MICHIGAN STATE
Jerome Walker, DE, Toledo
Manuel Wright, DT, USC

Shabaj won't get drafted
Manuel Wright... if we didn't have Cody and Bell as backups, i'd consider him, but we are literally 4 deep at DT.

I agree, he will not follow in the GREAT tradition of outstanding WRs from State in the NFL the last 15 or so years.

Is Jerome Walker a speed rusher (Kind of like Kalimba Edwards)? Or is he like Cory Redding (A big runstoping DE)

You mean the kind of receivers that teams take 2nd overall and only play 4 games in 2 years?

I wasn't even thinking of CRog, I was referring to guys like Derrick Mason (96 catches last season lead all WRs), Mushin Muhammad (1,405 reception yards led the NFL) and Plaxico Burress who despite a down year averaged nearly 20 ypc just to name a few
