Week 17 draft order w/full SOS All Games - Friday Dec.30
Here is my best analysis on the full set of games with descriptions,
Top set of games are most important:
TEN over JAX 1 spot STL has big SOS lead
OAK over NYG 1 spot
STL over DAL 1 spot & SOS
BUF over NYJ 1 spot
ARI over IND 1spot & SOS penalty
SEA over GB major DET SOS
KC over CIN BUF & DET SOS
CLE over BAL CLE currently behind us in SOS
CAR over ATL ARI SOS
MIA over NE TEN and CLE SOS
NO over TB STL SOS
HOU over SF unless we want STL weaker instead of BUF
MIN over CHI STL SOS
WAS / PHI irrelevant
DEN / SD irrelevant

Other scenarios to consider...........
Quote: HOU over SF unless we want STL weaker instead of BUF It would take a miracle to move past the Rams on SOS...............but we may NEED a Houston win over San Fran to past Buffalo on SOS if Buffalo loses to the Jets. Quote: ARI over IND 1spot & SOS penalty
As long as G.B. loses...........Arizona can't pick ahead of us.
But if the Titans win.......we NEED an Indy win to boost the Titans SOS.

i think that we have to have STL and SF win now for us to get ahead of ARI, which also puts us ahed of STL. so i think we are currently 11th, we get 1 spot to 10 for STL winning, and 1 spot to 9 if SF wins, but only if STL wins or the SF win won't do anything.

San Francisco blew it. Now they are out of the top 5.
I need to do research, but you can bank on us being in the top 10 I believe with that SF win. Either 10th or 9th.

I just went through everyone's SOS, and if the Rams win tonight, the Lions will pick 9th. If the Cowboys win, the Lions will pick 11th. BTW, the Packers really screwed us today. If they had lost, the Lions would be picking either 8th or 9th depending upon tonight's game.

you are correct, however if the lions lost to NO last week and didnt make that stupid kick, they would be picking 2nd, adn tonites game would be irrelevant!!!!!!!!!!

The last time we picked second overall, we got a player who was riding the pine today. I would rather be picking lower and have a better chance of trading down.

I don't agree with that. You may get more in return, but that's what makes trading down from second overall more difficult. The Lions would have a better chance of trading down from the ninth pick than from the second pick. Of course, it would all depend on who is available at those picks and how bad someone else wants them.

Here is the final draft order. Note: the ties will be broken by a coin flip and the * indicates playoff teams whose position could change.

Thanks Sly... that really sux that we beat NO last week... We would have been in a lock for Ferguson/Bush or Mario Williams should he have chosen to come out this year.... I have four people in mind for our #9 slot and at least one of them is possible (at this point it looks like Kawinicka), but that is all irrelevant as Millen will probably F' it up anywayz....

Mario Williams has declared himself eligible for the draft, so now we can include him in all the draft possibles as a definite. Doubt he will be there at #9. Don't think Ferguson will be there either. I certainly think Kiwanuka will be there, and I would not be mad at all if we got him.
