I know they might not be but you never know - see Derrick Johnson

If A.J. Hawk were there at our pick I would pick him in a heartbeat. He is a great fit on a team that needs playmakers.

MARIO WILLIAMS-he is the closest thing to a 'can't miss' prospect in the entire draft to me, and he would fill a need for a pass rusher.

Mario Williams is the best player of those five, but we need offensive line help a lot more than a DE. I'd take Ferguson, because I think Backus isn't coming back, and there isn't anyone out there.

Ill take the brick, our offensive line is horrible and needs help badly.

I'll take AJ Hawk.

For me it really depends on what happens in free agency and what our new HC's feelings are towards Harrington.

1) IF, Harrington goes you have to go QB and even trade up for Lienart (or Young) IMO.

2) If Harrington stays then I have to go with either Mario Williams or D'brickshaw Ferguson, again depending on free agency.

I hate to spend a first round pick on an O-linemen because they take so long to develop.

But I agree the O-line is by far the biggest need on the team right now So I voted for Ferguson.

Realistically I don't see Ferguson, Hawk or Williams there when we pick at # 9.

If there is any chance D'brickshaw Ferguson, Mario Williams or A.J. Hawk is available at #9 you take one of them it's a no-brainer but it's not gonna happen.

I think your going to be lucky to get Jimmy Williams at #9 and you might wind up settling for Michael Huff.

As always the Lions best bet is trading down something that's easier said then done.

One thing that is nice is... we should know if Backus is coming back before the draft... Personally I think he's staying. For that reason I would pass on Ferguson (which doesn't matter because he won't be there anywayz) and take Mario Williams.

I'd take Mario Williams or Ferguson in a heartbeat, but as others have stated, I don't think either of them will be available at #9. After that, I'd have to say A.J. Hawk, but I'd rather address the OT or DE position first.

AJ Hawk is Like Ray Lewis in 1 way...he doesn't have a bad game....when you get a chance at someone like that, you take him.

I would love The Brick or even Williams, but if for some ungodly reason AJ is there, you whole Defense changes instantly! He was the D for the Buckeyes, all the others were pawns, except for maybe Carpenter, but they did real well without him didn't they?
