I think its a pretty good early mock HIDM, not to many picks I would disagree with except for the Saints taking Young, this is just my thoughts on it but I think the Saints ownership will be wary about drafting another mobile QB and take the safe route and go with Lienart.
The Jets drafting Williams is a logical choice, with both stud QBs and Bush gone they take the second best back in the draft to replace Martin.
I really hope the Raiders or any team before our pick doesnt take Mario Williams, but I wouldnt mind seeing Huff in a lions uniform next season. We need someone to help out Bly and as we all know Bryant is not capable of that.
I like the Browns taking Greenway, Crennels defenses need good linebackers and Greenway or any other stud LB will be the Browns pick. Eagles will be extremely happy if they were able to land Kiwanuka at 14, their pass rush would get even better. Cutler would be a good pick by the Phins and should be an interesting prospect. The other pick I like was LenDale White going to Pittsburgh. I think he will be a fantastic back for them and a steal in the late first round.
Like I said I think this is a pretty good early mock draft but everything changes after the combine and personal workouts.

While I like DeAngelo Williams, I don't feel he's worth the fourth overall pick. My selection for the Jets is D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Whoever they get as their quarterback is going to be needing protection. Adrian Jones is better suited to sliding to right tackle or right guard. Derrick Blaylock isn't a feature back, but Curtis Martin isn't done yet and the two can start to split carries more. I feel DeAngelo is headed to Arizona. Jon Scott is way overrated and won't be in the top 20. And since Ferguson won't likely be there, I would expect the 49ers to jump on the chance to take Mario Williams. He would fit their 3-4 scheme as a DE perfectly.

Baltimore taking a tackle? They need a running back. Most likely White. If Kiwi is there, they may elect him instead.
Minnesota taking a tackle? They may want Laurence Moroney or a LB.
Patriots taking a running back? They have secondary needs. Ashton Youboty is the likely choice for them.
Lendale White lasting until pick #28? Not a chance.

Also, Vernon Davis may be the top TE taken. His lack of height hurts him, but he is the best pass catcher at the position. Leonard Pope is another overrated player, simply because of his height. He lacks ideal footspeed and doesn't block as well as he should.

Nitpicky stuff. This is a very good mock.

Just went to a great list of all the updated mock drafts:
http://www.hailredskins.com/MockDraft.htm
And here is the result of what I found the sites predicting who the Lions would draft:

# of sites Player, Position (College)

1 Chad Greenway, LB (Iowa)
4 Jimmy Williams, CB (Virginia Tech)
2 Mathias Kiwanuka, DE (Boston College)
2 Winston Justice, OT (USC)
1 Marcus McNeil, OT (Auburn)
1 Jay Culter, QB (Vanderbilt)

Jimmy Williams is definitely the front runner, followed by Winston Justice and Mathias Kiwanuka.

Go to Football Futures and take a gander at their three round Forum mock. It has the Lions taking Marcus Vick in round three.

I DON'T THINK SO!!

I could see a desparate team like the Lions possibly draft Marcus Vick, but not until the 7th round, if at all!! Round 3 is insane!! You never know about a kid like that. He could turn himself around and become a superstar like his brother. It's a huge risk, but there is hardly any talent in the 7th round anyways, might as well take a shot at Marcus Vick then. However, he'll probably be gone before the 7th round.

From the loose chatter I've heard....Marcus Vick might slide all the way through the draft and be signed as a UFA to get him even cheaper.

This could all change, however, if he wows people at the combine and shows some remorse for his foolish ways as a human being.

I think that A.J Nicholson is too small for LB and will be moved to safety. or am i getting him confused with Sims

You are confusing him with Simms. However, Sam Mills was only 5'9" so Ernie being 6' and 220 lbs doesn't mean he can't be a linebacker in the NFL.

I probable should have added trades as well most of these picks where ment for trades... Anyways, about the Jets pick you possible may be right; but Williams is just to good of a prospect to pass up, I may have them take Ferguson when the combine is over or in the middle. I'm not sure about Williams heading to Arizona though, I heard there not giving up on J.J Arrington quite yet, and right now Jon Scott is the 2nd rated offensive tackle in the draft.

I also agree with you on Mario Williams, in a mock before this (When I had Vince Young staying put) I had Tennessee picking Ferguson, then I had the 9ers pick Mario Williams, they can't pass up on Ferguson in this draft though. As I said before this mock is better suited for trades...

Running back may be the pick for Baltimore as well, but I don't feel they need to take a 1st rounder on a RB, they need an offensive anyways, there way overated, Kiwi going to the Ravens I don't see hapening either, they may be running 4-3 now but they still want big D-lineman, I think there moving back to 3-4 when Lewis retires anyways, they did when he went out for the season; Kiwi is not ment for a 3-4 end and has stated he wont play linebacker.

Minnesota taking a RB, I disagree with you wholeheartedly. They need offensive line help terrible, I have heard they probable wont take a RB first round, besides there rotation needs to gel, and they want a veteran RB in the mix. Mewelde Moore is there young project right now. Although in my second round mock I had them tacking Gerald Riggs...

Patriots want to find a replacement for Dillon quick, I heard they've been displeased with him. And LenDale lasting 28th, as I said before this mock is better suited for trades. I believe the Steelers will take White though, he's a powerback who will replace Bettis well. The Steelers will probable trade up with the Pats or Ravens. Take your pick.

I'm surprised you think Youboty is worth a first rounder. I think he and Anwar Phillips are of similar talent, and would both make great 2nd round picks. People seem a big higher on Youboty, but Anwar seems to have great character, team morale, and integrity. He may fall to the 3rd round, but IMO he seems more of the mould of player that a Green Bay or NE would take "early" and end up being great picks.

DeAngelo Williams has an injury history that drops his stock. While I agree that he is a very good prospect, the Jets have more dire needs along their offensive line. Of the two (DeAngelo or D'Brickashaw) I would rate Ferguson the better prospect. His skills set can't be ignored, especially by a team looking to get a new signal caller.
I have heard that Dennis Green realizes he made a mistake in judgement with J.J. Arrington. Green made an incredible reach in taking J.J. in the second round. I had him rated as a fourth round selection. Ciatrick Fason would have been a better pick, IMO. Arrington is not meant to be in a single back offense. He needs a lead blocker and Green likes to run his one back, three receiver sets more often than not. DeAngelo is better suited to be in a single back offense than J.J.

The thing is, the 49ers just gave Jonas Jennings a huge contract last year and still have Kwame Harris, a former first round pick. I don't see them spending another high draft pick on an offensive lineman when they have numerous young players along that O-line already. However, with their switch to a 3-4, they lack several elements to make that defense work effectively. A big DE with pass rush ability would help ease pressure from Julian Peterson as their lone pass rush specialist.

In all likelihood Jamal Lewis has spent his last year in Baltimore. Chester Taylor is set to become a free agent as well. The Ravens offense MUST have a reliable feature back. The line is built to support a power running game. After the top four backs in the draft are gone the talent level drops off immensely at that position. I highly doubt the Ravens will wait to take a lesser back. Jonathon Ogden is still better than most offensive tackles. Marcus McNeil is a very overrated prospect. He has huge size, but has had back problems which is a bad sign for an offensive lineman. That comes in part from his being overweight. It has been said is listed wieght of 335-340 is a vast understatement. He needs to trim down and allow his athleticism to prosper. Until he does that, he slides. That's what happened to Elton Brown last year.

I have heard that the folks in Minnesota are enamored with Maroney. It could be true or not. However, they should probably do away with their committee approach. Maroney is a better potential feature back than Moore. Moore is a good third down back, but I don't feel he is an every down player. The Vikings offensive line isn't terrible. Marcus Johnson had a bad rookie year, but believe me he will blossom into a solid player. What hurt them was the loss of their starting center. That is really the only position along that line that needs to be addressed, and certainly not with their first round pick. If I were the Vikings GM, I would definitely go with a linebacker in this round. Thomas Howard or Demeco Ryans for the outside and move E.J. Henderson back inside. Cowart is all but done. They need a playmaker among their linebackers.

I could see the Pats going after a running back, but in free agency. Besides, the top four backs probably won't fall that far. The Pats have needs in their secondary, and I think that's where they spend their first round pick. They also need to start reloading their linebacking corps, whose average age is the same as Moses. The Steelers? They don't trade picks, ever. I can't recall the last time Pitt traded, up or down. They prefer to stay put and allow players to fall into their laps. Besides, I think the Steelers are pretty happy with Willie Parker. What the Steelers really need is secondary help. Hope and Polamalu are good, but their corners leave much to be desired.

Youboty was able to shut down some very good receivers in the games Ohio State played this year. He still is growing into his body, so his skinny frame isn't a major concern. Anwar Phillips doesn't have his speed, and I don't think he has the fluid hips that first round cornerbacks do. Also, Youboty is a quiet, keep-to-himself kind of player. That's exactly what the Pats look for. Make no mistake, Phillips had a great season for JoPa. But I just don't think he's got the speed and hips to be a great shut down corner. His workouts may tell us more and prove me wrong.
