Post Our man!!!!!!!!!!!!
As it stands right now the Lions are at 9th overall. Which means we will be totally happy if D-Brick,Mario Williams, Kiwi,or Huff are at 9 then they will be our best pick! But I doubt that D Brick and Mario Williams will be there.
So we will probally pick someone like Huff, Kiwi,Jimmy Williams, one of the other OTs like Winston Justice,McNeil, and if there is AJ Hawk sitting at 9 that might be a great value pick.B cuz Earl Holmes is a servicable MLB but hes aging and Hawk is going to be a STUD if mentored right! Like Millen said their looking for defenders. So if the top Def players are off the board, like Huff Mario Williams Kiwi they might not want a weaker player at those same positions so they might take the best Def player avail..AJ Hawk!!!!!!!!!!!! The trading down theory here at 9 would be great more picks would come of that and we could build a true O-Line because there a lot of good OTs and a couple nice OGs that would be in the mid to late first round and good depth at D-Line and the secondary in the first 3 rounds. So pray we land D-Brick or Mario Williams at 9 would be best!!![/i][/b]

The top 9 players IMO - Bush, Leinart, Young, L White/DeAngelo Williams, Hawk, Ferguson, Mario Williams, Jimmy Williams, and Haloti Ngata. I think that one of these studs will fall to us barring any jumps and trades.

I think Williams is the one to fall to us at #9.

I assumed he meant Jimmy Williams as IMO he's the most likely to fall to us...

im convinced that we are gonna go for kiwi , cause mario williams isnt gonna fall to us , and we can get a safety in later rounds , but 1st 2 rounds are gonna go on o-line , and d-line, and in the 3rd we trade down if dont in the earlier rounds get a 4th rounder maybe or an extra 3rd, and go for lb and fs there and draft our next mlb, and fs , maybe dude from usc , ware . its a few good mlb out there, oliver hoyte , from nc state and bing he played behind a great line, u put him behind , our dline he can cause havoc , but who knows . senior bowl is today ..

I meant Jimmy, my bad.

I think:
1 Houston Texans --- Reggie Bush
2 New Orleans Saints --- Matt Leinart
3 Tennessee Titans --- Vince Young
4 New York Jets --- Ledale White
5 Green Bay Packers --- AJ Hawk
6 Oakland Raiders# --- Mario Williams
6 San Francisco 49ers# --- D'Brickashaw Ferguson
8 Buffalo Bills --- Haloti Ngata
9 Detroit Lions --- Jimmy Williams
10 Arizona Cardinals --- DeAngelo Williams

If AJ Hawk is gone and DE Mario Willaims NC State is available he should draw strong consideration from the Lions.

He is 6' 7" and 290lbs. He has been called the best pass rusher in the draft and at that size should be able to stay on the feild against the rush.

Kalimba and Hall arent consistent enough.

I want the LIons to really focus on the OL and Defense this offseason FA/Draft.

I have all around mixed feelings for this draft. It's definately loaded in talent but a lot of it we don't need or it definately wont be available... I personally want D'Brickshaw Ferguson, Matt Leinart, Mario Williams, A.J Hawk, Michael Huff, Vince Young, Jon Scott, Marcus McNeil, and Mathias Kiwanuka in that order.

Here's what I think will go down...

(If Oakland wins flip)
1.) Houston --- Reggie Bush
2.) New Orleans --- Matt Leinart
3.) Tennessee --- Vince Young
4.) New York Jets --- D'Brickshaw Ferguson
5.) Green Bay --- A.J Hawk
6.) Oakland --- Mario Williams
7.) San Fransico --- Michael Huff
8.) Buffalo --- Haloti Ngata
9.) Detroit --- Mathias Kiwanuka
10.) Arizona --- Jon Scott

(If San Fran wins flip)
1.) Houston --- Reggie Bush
2.) New Orleans --- Matt Leinart
3.) Tennessee --- Vince Young
4.) New York Jets --- D'Brickshaw Ferguson
5.) Green Bay --- AJ Hawk
6.) San Fransico --- Mario Williams
7.) Oakland --- Haloti Ngata
8.)Buffalo --- Jon Scott
9.) Detroit --- Michael Huff
10.) Arizona --- DeAngelo Williams

Just to let you know.......they had the flip the day after the season ended.

Oakland did indeed win the flip.
