 Chad Greenway
i'd like to see the lions take Chad Greenway with the first pick. he is projected as an OLB but I think he will be able to play MLB if he gets stronger. He reminds me of Brian Urlacher. the biggest weakness of Holmes was he was pretty bad in coverage and this guy is good at it. He needs to get a little stronger but besides that hes the guy i want.

I think #9 is a reach for Greenway. I think he'll go mid-first (14-20)

A fast LB who may play in the middle or on the outside in the pros. Decent in coverage with good instincts and a great motor and intelligent. But needs to work on his strength and shedding blocks.
Sounds like Teddy Lehman to me!

I think that's the exact same write up they used when Teddy came out.

thats what im worried about but he is bigger than Lehman. plus the lions need help at MLB and he seems like one of the best options. i dunno it was just something i was thinkin about.

I can't see Greenway playing the middle in a 4-3

When we drafted Teddy, I remember reading a lot about how they were going to try to convert him to MLB. I wonder what happened to that?

Lehman isn't a MLB. He's not very good at all at shedding blocks, meaning he gets lost behind big OLmen. He needs to get stronger IMO.

Size matters but that doesn't determine if they can play middle at for example Lofa Tatupu is is only listed at 6'0 and 238 so he is probably 5'11 and 225 and still can play middle, or Zack Thomas at 5'11 and 228. The answer is can Greenway shed blockers and take on the oline more. I feel he could play MLB but I don't watch enough tape or know everything that makes a great MLb in the NFl b/c if I did I would be making the big bucks
On a side note I have heard that Teddy ankle injury could be career ending. Friends meet him at a bar and he started talking to the girls (who didn't know who he was) and said that.
