Kirwan's take on some lesser name prospects.

Charles Spencer is a great prospect IMO, he is big, strong, and aggressive. And i think he would make a great 2nd round pick for the Lions, of course it would nice to grab him at 3rd round but i dont think he will last that long.

I thought Spencer looked terrible... maybe it was due to his lack of experience at OG and his prior time at DT, but I thought he got beat often... Maybe he can be taught, but I wouldn't take him before the 5th or 6th round.

Charles Spencer will be a solid OG with good coaching. hes still kinda learning the position because hes a former DT. he also looks out of shape and if thats not taken care of he'll be out of breath late in games.

he is somewhat of a project but could be a good one.

I didn't think Spencer looked all that impressive, but Chris Spielman was raving about him during the Senior Bowl telecast. Spielman is brutally honest and seems to have a good idea for talent, particularly at linebacker and offensive line. Spencer will need some development time, but may be a first day pick with that type of endorsement.
