I really want to get Victor Ayendeju but a second round pick would be a waste because i think he will be avialable in the 3rd and maybe even later. C'mon Dominic Byrd wont last until the 3rd round. that would be great but he im sure hes gone in the 2nd. and i dont wanna use a high pick like that on a TE. if the lions draft a TE i hope its a blockin TE late in the draft (Cooper Wallace)

i definately wouldnt consider our second rounder being used on byrd a waste, but i think that there will be better selections for bigger needs. i would consider that a steal, but it isnt one of our biggest needs, so it would lessen the value

Dan O will only have a spot on the team if the new OC likes him, I'd guess. If a guy like Martz comes here, he will get a QB he likes whether it be through the draft or FA. Hopefully, he'll want to work with Joey and Dan, but it wouldn't shock me if he (or any new OC) tries to get rid of both.

Personally I think Dan O is safe... He's a back up third string project cheap Qb.. a HC would be nuts to get rid of him before knowing what he's capable of...

pierre woods might get drafted, but i think we shold get him and grant mason , hes a good cb, not afraid to make a hit and is solid in coverage i would liek ot see them give him a shot, and massey would be a great addition if hes there ..

For Michigan players I also think that Tyler Ecker has a good chance to be a very good all around TE in the NFL. Especially compared to Massaquoi who I believe will have a hard time sticking around in the NFL. Ecker can do it all and will make the tough catch while also doing an excellent job of blocking. He doesn't get the recognition because until late in the season Carr used him mostly as a blocker.

Gradkowski may be mobile, but he doesn't throw well on the run. Same thing goes for Vince Young. He doesn't throw at all when moving to his left, and his accuracy diminishes exponentially when moving to his right.

WHAT??? i am pretty sure Joey will be here in 2006. and i guarantee Dan O will be here in 2006. Why would we get rid of him. that makes absolutly no sense because the FA Qbs are not that good and if they are good they likely will be resigned. it dosnt matter who the OC is DanO is staying. its gonna be hard enough to get a solid 3rd Qb its gonna be imposible to get 3 Qbs this offseason and be in a better situation than we are in now.

I'm not saying it is likely. My point is that Dan O is a fifth-round pick and it wouldn't cost us much (if anything) in cap terms, and Joey is on shaky ground unless the new OC believes that he is starting QB material.

I'm not saying this scenario will play out or should play out. However, our new OC could look at these guys and decide to part with both. That isn't inconceivable. Unlikely, yes. Inconceivable, no.

Tim Massaquoi will be drafted. He played most of the season with a cast on his hand, and dropped some balls because of it, but he did get open and could have made some plays had his hand not been broken. He's a very athletic TE with good hands. I'm sure he'll impress at the combine.
