I do like the Alex Smith pick in the 2nd. It would be a good pick to take him at #42 and I think he's a good TE who has the measurables and the skill to be really good in the NFL. All he needs to do is workout. Get bigger and stronger. He's got a good frame and is almost 6-5 and 260. Runs a 4.75 though. Get that down to around a 4.6 and I would love to have him.
However, the Jets and the Steelers both have TEs as a necessity.

Thanks Jomo. It is quite simple really. If everyone posts one interesting topic a day this place will be hopping.

Kirwan's list of the bottom half of the first round. 3-6 of these players, maybe more, figure to slip into the second round.

Pablo,
Don't forget what happened in 2003 when there was a run on DE's/DT's.
8 of the first 15 picks were in that position!

I really do like Matt Roth, I love his motor, but I don't think he will slip back into the 2nd round. Too many teams like him. I think it would be worthwhile to trade back between 15-23 and grab him and an extra pick. Brodney Pool may slip back into the second and he would be a great pick-up at #41. Adam Terry or Alex Smith could slip as well.
