Okay, here we go, after reading everyone else's choices, I can finally make my own. Is that cheating?
1.. San Fran...Aaron Rodgers QB
2.. Miami...Ronnie Brown RB
3.. Cleveland...Braylon Edwards WR
4.. Chicago...Mike Williams WR
5.. Tampa...Carnell Williams RB
6.. Tennessee...Adam Jones CB
7.. Minnesota...Troy Williamson WR
8.. Arizona...Cedric Benson RB
9.. Washington...Antrel Rolle CB
10.. Detoit trades it's pick to Philly....Philly picks Derrick Johnson OLB
Craziness runs in my family

I wouldn't mind that, if there is decent talent that we could get at that spot. The top teir of draftees runs out quick in this draft IMO.

Philly has two second and two third round picks. Which of those do we get? I hope their first second rounder (from Miami-#35) and their original third rounder (#95). It adds up mathematically on the DVC.

Mike------call Philly it sounds like we have a great deal for them. We could take an ILB, Crowder or Thurman with #31 and go from there.

1) SF - Alex Smith

4) CHI - Carnell Williams
5) TB - Aaron Rodgers
6) TEN - Antrel Rolle
7) MIN - Mike Williams
 ARI - Cedric Benson
9) WAS - Adam Jones

I'll change it up a bit as the draft nears... (it's already different than the draft that I made a while ago).

Here I go:
Since the q'back's aren't anything special, this year the GM's will go with more of a sure thing.
1) San Fran. = Braylon Edwards
2) Miami = Ronnie Brown
3) Cleveland = Derrick Johnson
4) Minnesota (from Chicago) = Mike Williams (Minnesota wants a WR)
5) Tampa Bay = Cadillac Williams
6) Tennessee = Antrel Rolle
7) Arizona (from Chicago/Minnesota) = Cedric Benson (Arizona wants a RB)
 Chicago = Pac Man Jones
9) Washington = Shawne Merriman
10) Detroit = Marcus Spears
I am NOT a Bears fan but according to this mock they would be in great shape to get a lot of picks.

IMO McCown will be a career backup and Warner is a short term patch. Maybe because D.Green cycled through QBs last year like it was going out of style. ditto! Warner is short-term, Green didn't show a lot of faith in McClown last season. They could go RB as well but QB seems to be a good fit at this point for them IMO.

Denny is in charge. What did his tenure in MN say about how he handled the QB position? What did his behavior last year at AZ say? Green does not believe in franchise QBs. He might take a RB if he were convinced that guy was top notch better than second round guys. I wonder if he is. Best available athlete: Merriman or DJ-perhaps Pac Man.

Culpepper was the one exception during his MN tenure. The reason they drafted him was that he was a great athlete and the highest rated guy on their board. They had Brad Johnson at the time. They drafted Moss for the same reason, although at the time they had Jake Reed and Cris Carter. The same with Bennet and many ohter picks. The pattern is that Denny does not pick need in the first round.
Now, of the two big QB guys Alex Smith would be the guy he might consider because he is athletic, but where is he on their board? I would be extremely surprised if Green took Smith over DJ. He might take Smith over a RB. The best Green QB might be McPherson.
Personally, I think Smith could be really good. Also, going RB would be the most logical with Warner there, but this approach runs counter to my gut instinct on Denny. We will see I guess.

Warner was brought in for a short term fix, that is true.
He signed a one year deal, and McCown has a one year deal as well. Navarre has 2 more years, but isn't a starter.
I don't see any room for a QB. Look at the cornerback position. It's bloody awful. David Macklin is a #2 at best. The only other two players on the roster are practice squad players.
The runningback position is terrible as well. Marcel Shipp? Are you serious? This guy is so far in Green's doghouse that Cardinal fans wouldn't be surprised if he was cut.
True, QB is a need. But the Cardinals want to make a run RIGHT NOW. They signed 4-5 starters in free agency. Green isn't a patient man. They won't be drafting 3rd stringers in the 1st round who won't make an impact. Especially when RB and CB are much bigger needs, and there will most assuredly be impact players avaliable at the selection.
I'm just sick of people putting a QB at #8, because they don't want them to make a downfall to 16 or 24. It's no where close to happening.
