I'm disappointed that only 7 people decided to play, but maybe there will be more next year. I'm in another one at a different board that had over 170 entries.

Since I have a few obscure people on my list, I thought I'd explain who they are. Ethan Zohn was the winner of Survivor: Africa and the Arab dude was the Lockerbie bomber. They both have terminal cancer.
I took a huge risk by selecting Zelda Rubinstein. She was the 4 foot tall woman in the Poltergeist movies and several other TV shows and movies. She was taken off life support on December 29th and I was hoping that she would make it until the new year. No word yet on her death, but it will be soon, if it hasn't already happened. To be fair, if reports come out that she died before midnight on NYE, I will not get any points.

Some one is finally on the board:
AP wrote: 'Chemical Ali' executed in Iraq
BAGHDAD — Iraq's government spokesman says Saddam Hussein's notorious cousin "Chemical Ali" was executed Monday about a week after being sentenced to death for the poison gas attacks that killed more than 5,000 Kurds in 1988.
News of the hanging came shortly after three suicide car bombs struck downtown Baghdad. It was not immediately clear whether the attacks were linked the execution of Ali Hassan al-Majid.
Government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh confirmed the execution took place.
Al-Majid — widely known as "Chemical Ali" for the gas attacks — was convicted on Sunday for ordering the poison gas to be dropped on the Kurdish town of Halabja in 1988 as part of a campaign against a Kurdish uprising.
It was the fourth death sentence against him for crimes against humanity.
Since he was 68, mwill2 gets 32 points and leads the Celebrity Death Pool at this time.

I was about to post this too. I'm not excited about death but I'm excited about winning!

E Online wrote: Wee Poltergeist Psychic Zelda Rubinstein Dies Natalie Finn, eonline
As Tangina said, "There is no death. It is only a transition to a different sphere of consciousness."
Zelda Rubinstein, the tiny-voiced actress who played the psychic called upon to help a surburban family rid their home of a demonic force in 1982's Poltergeist, died Wednesday at a Los Angeles hospital. She was 76.
Rubinstein's agent, Eric Stevens, told the L.A. Times that the veteran character actress was hospitalized two months ago after suffering a mild heart attack.
Standing at only 4 feet 3 inches tall and managing to look both aged and child-like at the same time, Rubinstein made a career playing offbeat—and often scene-stealing—characters, who often had a yen for the supernatural, such as Tangina in Poltergeist (and its lesser sequels) and the spell-casting Serena in Teen Witch.
Rubinstein was a regular on Picket Fences from 1992 to 1994. She most recently appeared in the sprawling ensemble film Southland Tales and served as narrator of the Fox Family series The Scariest Places on Earth.
I am now on the board with 24 points, but I still trail mwill2, who has 32. Everybody else has ZERO!

Same here. I'm ashamed I entered.

Pablo and BillySims, I did say that it was "morbid, sick, and twisted" in my very first post, so you should have known what you were getting yourselves into.

 Re: 2010 Celebrity Death Pool
Well, I'll be the classless person to update this. Sly correctly predicted Ernie Harwell's death. At age 92, that's 8 pts for Sly. We're tied at 32 points each I think.

 Re: 2010 Celebrity Death Pool
Thanks, mwill2. Out of respect for Ernie, I was gonna wait a few days before updating this, but it is what it is: a very sick and twisted game.
The official standings are now mwill2 and myself tied for 1st with 32 points. Everyone else is tied for last with zero.
And steensn, this thread is pretty tame by Celebrity Death Pool standards. If you saw the comments in the other one I'm entered in, you would freak out.

Hell, I'm probably registered at over 100 different forums on a variety of subjects. It doesn't mean I post at all of them though.
