I'm well secure in my manhood. Anyone things a Mandolin is lame should go straight to jail for being a poser. they make great music... I'm thinking your just jealous because you can't play nothing ;)

Everyone wants to be a music star except when they can't...

Mandolin usage:

Led Zepplin's "The Battle of Evermore"
R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion"

Other bands featuring the Mandolin: Green Day, Counting Crows, White Strips, Dave Mathews Band, etc.

It's an acoustic... Fender doesn't make good acoustics.

Let me guess. The only reason why steensn plays acoustic is because it doesn't use electricity, and therefore doesn't harm the planet.

At this point, I doubt even Richard Simmons would issue you a man card.

lol@this thread, I'm a musician but mandolin and ukulele are not really my thing. Not that I couldn't play em...never tried, but usually I can play just about anything with strings so I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. Thing is...I'm a rock/metal musician...the music I write usually isn't exactly fitting for a mandolin or ukulele, lol. Not to mention I don't even have the money to buy a decent guitar and amp right now...let alone instruments I would never really use. :P
