Don't you think theyd be better off knowing? It could be ruining their life.

It's better to tell. Sometimes what needs to be heard isn't so nice sounding but it needs said. People need to man up...

Whose to say that they don't already know? Maybe they don't care? Just started being friends with this guy just now approaching a year, so I don't know everything about him.

Consider the social stigma he's going through if he doesn't know.

Got a point there.

Why not just buy them some cologne???
Or take him to a strip bar and have the ladies tell him

Can you turn it into a kind of compliment or joke? "Man, did you work out this morning? You smell like a locker room." That's what I'd do if it were one my close friends. I guess it depends on your relationship.

I don't know if that would work.. Strippers have agendas.

Yeah, the stripper approach won't work, particularly if the friend has money. I've seen them crawl all over fat, sweaty guys just for a few bucks. Strippers may look good, but they have the morality of pigs.

I'd just come out and tell the person, "hey, not to be rude, but you have an issue that needs to be addressed."

It could be the result of a medical condition, and could be the forerunner to more serious problems.
