With Madden 12 not far from coming out, Aug. 30th I thought I would make a topic on it.

Looked at the top 5 receivers on the game and to my suprise a Lion made the cut. Calvin Johnson makes it at number 5.

Screw the online play I'm hyped about the improvements to franchise mode which it looks like they really took ideas from head coach and plopped them in franchise which is awesome.

...Madden finally looks good and I had to go and sell my PS3...

Does anyone know what date that Madden goes by when they set the roster for the game?

it'll be badly outdated this year is my guess. hope ya got internet hooked to yer system as that will update it for ya.

wow thats later than usual..usually it's by mid month. maybe they pushed it back due to the late roster changes. you may be in luck afterall.

Auguest 30th it comes out, and the reason is due to the lockout.

As for roster updates, I think they will be up to date a week before the game comes out.

That's okay, PS3 are bad anyways. The online got hacked twice and got thousands of credit cards. The only thing PS3 got on 360 is the Blueray which I don't even need.

I think the writer has a point about Calvin. Were you starting a football franchise and had your pick of ANY wide receiver in the league, who would you take first? Some may go with Fitzgerald, but most would take Calvin. That alone should propel him to be a top three at his position.

I was watching a clip the other day about the proposed top 5 receivers in the NFL (I forget if it was ESPN, CBS, or NFL Network). The guy didn't even include Calvin. He had Andre J., Fitz, Greg Jenning, Roddy White and Reggie Wayne as his top five. :-/

Yeah, like CJ isn't better than all of them........
