 Olympics
The opening ceremonies are Friday night. Too bad football isn't an olympic event - I bet we could take the Gold in that one. My predicted medal finish if Football was at the games:
1) USA (Gold)
2) Canada (Silver)
3) Somoa (Bronze)

Opening Ceremony is on NBC right now. It feels weird not having the Olympics in the USA, being blessed by having the Atlanta games here and Salt Lake games here as well. It's great watching the opening ceremonies and how proud the people are just to be there from the small countries.

so true. After hearing about all the issues with the preparation for the games - looks like Athens did themselves proud. The stadium looks awesome and they pulled off some very cool effects with the opening.
As a side note, it was great to hear coutries like Afganistan and Iraq getting huge cheers from the crowd.
I'm still trying to figure out the country order. That alphabet is all GREEK to me.

Yeah, the order was very weird, but whatever. Did you hear about the torch bearer? I mean that stinks.

Was it me, or did the torch look like a cigarette when it was lit?

I couldn't decide if it was a cigarette, cigar or tampon on fire... Other than that I was very impressed.
Also, did the pregnant lady have a baby ET in her belly?
