Well good news for you is this is probably your best chance to beat Stafford since it's his first game, so if you had to pick any number from 1-100 of Stafford's future games I think 1 would be the best pick for you!

But bad news for you is we will be fighting extra hard considering probably 20 guys on the team are still fighting for a job! :)

I believe the saints give us the greatest chance to win out of our first 6 games. However, I am not convinced we will win.

Considering last years game, why would you think the Saints give you the best chance? I'm more than curious...

I guess we can use this for the official week 1 prediction thread. I fully expect the Stafford to CJ connection to account over over 100 yards and a couple of scores, but it won't be enough. The Lions' D, while slightly improved over last year, is still no match for the high-powered Saints' O. Therefore:
SAINTS 38 LIONS 21

The big change in our D this season over last is that we have guys that can tackle and aren't afraid to stick their nose in there on the running game. I don't think that will be enough to slow down Brees, though. I'm going to go with:

Saints 42 Lions 21

Well don't the Saints have some serious injuries? I think their LT and some of their RBs are hurt?

I always think the Lions are going to win, or atleast hope.

So here is my plan for the Lions to win, They will control the clock with Kevin doing work on the ground, and get timely stops to win 31-27.

But seriously, The Saints D is not that great. They do have a crazy good pass offense, but I'll still think they are going to win until they lose so yeah.

Go Lions!

I'm going to guess that he meant you are the weakest defense we face in our first 6 games. Stafford, if he is going to perform well, will have his best chance against you guys....

That being said, we are going to lose this game to you guys. I'm starting all my NO saints players in FF.

I think this might be a great bet to take the Lions with the spread. After 0-16 and a rookie starter, oddsmakers are probably going to overly be suspect of the Lions, whatever points they are giving the Lions could be excessive....looking up now....and it is..... 13 points? Hmm... yeah I would take the Lions, this is my bet of the week! (but don't bet more than you can afford to lose!)

well we know the saints are going to eat our defense alive...

the question is how is our offense or how well can there defense stop us.

if they can't it could turn into a shoot out.. but i still give the saints an overwhelming edge to put points on the board.

the lions have a very good deep ball threat now, and a decent run game.
and i want to see it exicuted in a fulll game..and see how No defends it.

and heres the real kicker i want to see our coaches make adjustments in game to counter it.
no more Jr. high play book crap you can see coming from a mile away
like colletto and elmer fudd's son inlaw ran last year, and the only adjustment is to dumb it down even more next week..
