Detroit Lions S Brock Marion, who suffered a right knee injury in the first quarter of the Lions 20-17 win over the Bills in the team?s final preseason game, underwent a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exam following the game to further evaluate his injury. Results of the test confirmed the original diagnosis of a knee contusion.
Marion?s x-rays that were taken during the game were negative.
Statement from Head Coach Steve Mariucci regarding S Brock Marion:
?Brock had an MRI late Thursday night and the results confirmed the initial diagnosis by our medical staff that Brock has a bone contusion to his right knee. It is our hope and expectation that Brock will be ready to play in our season opener at Chicago.?
