Post No Maranelli, then who?
I've seen it posted that a rumor exists that Maranelli may be gone....

Okay so if that's the truth, then who would be available? I believe that if RM and Martz could've gotten their stuff squashed the Lions would have been pretty good. Granted it is supposition on my part, but looking at the numbers from the last two years, and then looking at our current numbers, we definitely needed an OC.

Yet again, we will have to rebuild an entire team.... Why couldn't we for once have the luck of Atlanta, or Miami? Both turned it around in one season, we can't do it in 57, going on 58.

I'm totally fine with waiting to see who our new GM is first, and then discuss who's on his short list.

I not certain they'd have ever gotten along but I am convinced that Marinelli is never going to be a good Head Coach anywhere in the NFL. He's a total fake!

As for "looking at the numbers" I'm thinking we saw two different Lions teams. "...we definitely needed an OC. " Yes we do - but the offense isn't the unit that allowed us to be down by 21 points in the first quarter almost every game this year!!

I thought most people got past this issue already. Please stop blaming the offense solely for the loss of games and for the lack of a legitimate Defensive Coordinator! See this thread... Boss comments briefly on last year's downfall...

Our offensive scheme might actually work if it had an O-line and O-line coach that was worth a damn. But this teams biggest issue by far (other than the total management of the franchise) is the lack of a real defense and specifically DC, Joe 'the inexperienced son-in-law' Berry.

Atlanta & Miami hired GM's that knew what they were doing and we're working on 51 years but who's counting.
