The Texans just traded for Philip Buchanan... can kick and punt return, when needed... don't think he will in Texas, though.

What are the details of the trade?

Oakland got Houston's 2nd and 3rd round pick for Buchanon... which is equivalent (per a NFL Draft Value Chart) to the 32nd pick in the draft. It's a good deal for the Raiders... I don't necessarily think Houston should have given up two first day picks.

I would have thought a second and fourth or fifth rounder at best. With Buchanon's injury history, I think Houston coughed up too much.

I now anticipate that Houston will be a candidate to trade down in round one. I also feel the Lions were foolish not to sign Swinton. Drummond gets hurt every year, and I don't think 2005 will be an exception. Swinton performed well in his absence, and I think should have gotten consideration as the replacement for Hakim in the slot.

That's a horrible trade for Houston IMO. They could have gotten a solid OT in round 2 and a good WR in Chris Henry in round 3...foolish IMO. They have too many holes to be giving up picks like that.

I agree, thats a pretty stupid transaction.

I know he is a good cb, but as good as the trade would suggest, if you look at his stats.

11 int and 13 pass defensed in 3 years.

Where's PYRO?

I'm going to guess that he's sobbing in the middle of his living room floor, wondering what the Texans were thinking.

 , well, now he knows how I felt when Millen chased Jonnie out of motown screaming homosexual and drafted joey when there was an obvious need for a corner. :x
