Post Jim Rome rumor Charles Rogers for La'Roi Glover
Very interesting news from Detroits Sports Radio 1130 said the Lions did not draft Mike Williams to replace injury prone Charlie Rogers; BUT, Jim Rome said he has insider sources that are telling him, Matt Millen spoke with the Cowboys about a draft day trade, time ran out and the trade did not go through. Rome says this trade has fuel and states the Lions are trying to swap Charlie Rogers to the Cowboys for DT La?Roi Glover. Rome went on the say the Lions would love to add glover to the DT spot, and the Cowboys may use Glover less now that they are heading towards a 3-4 formation. Rome said he would not be surprised if a trade is made in the coming weeks!

That would be so dumb, Dline isn't a need and we drafted Offense three years in a row to gain playmakers, not trade them off.

Rome must be burning something other than tobacco.

I can agree with the part about Glover being used less, but what the hell? Glover wouldn't fill that big of a need. CRog is worth more IMO. His potential is way bigger than Glover's.

Check out this sweet pick by Chris Cash (you need realplayer).

I wanted to make it my avatar, but I can't edit the video  The pick is about half way through the video.

This trade does not meet the cap test scrutiny. Oh, yeah, the other tests either! An aging DT is not worth much on the market.

Time ran out??!!?? Wasn't some time left on the clock when Mike was drafted??? I thought that I read someplace that we didn't use the entire 15mins and that they weren't able to get any trades made......

BTW, I wouldn't trade Rogers for Glover, no way. Glover is too old...now if Dallas wants to throw in Roy Willams, safety, then I might think about it.

I doubt this ever had any real substance behind it. And oh yeah, we picked Shaun Cody in round 2.

Sounds like one of those draft day rumors... :P

yeah very lame. Glover is 1 year young than Big Daddy

I didn't even look at the money but I would guess Glover makes more than BD as well.

The more I think about it the dumber it seems cause Cody was I believe the second DT taken in the draft :?

Somehow landing the Ndamo-nator would be the second best day ever.

This just sounds to much like Tom 'Killer' Kowalski to me. Therefore it can't be true.

Updating previous reports, the Dallas Cowboys have officially announced the signing of free agent CB Aaron Glenn (Texans) to a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Should we be surprised by this? Is this not just another example of Parcells getting the guys he's already had before and know he can coach up? IMO, the problem with this approach is that he coached the Jets a long time ago, so all these guys are old as the hills now....
