Poll: When will Nick Fairley play?
Myself, I have a feeling we will see Nick Fairley's debut on Monday night vs. Chicago.

yeh, starts as in starts playing. Im curious to know if he'll play inside only or inside and outside. Fairley, Suh, Williams and Bosch all at the same time would be pretty interesting.

Heard today he's doing some light running. They expect him to return around week 4.

Re: Poll: When will Nick Fairley play?
Its funny, cause before I had read the 1st post I cast my vote , and it seems as if that is @ the moment the popular answer ... After reading the story about him running, I could see him making a return on the big stage, and where better to do it then MNF ..

Re: Poll: When will Nick Fairley play?
I think we can rule out week 3 since he has to get into game shape first. With that said, week 4 is possible, but I think the MNF game is much more likely.

Re: Poll: When will Nick Fairley play?
Sure it's likely, but if we know anything about the coaching staff is that they aren't concerned about making a splash, and they wouldn't hold him out of week 4 if he was available to play so he could make his debut on MNF.

Personally I don't think it's about making a splash. I am looking at this from the standpoint that they don't want to rush him back. We are into week two and he is only doing light running, no contact, no position drills. I suspect in week three he'll do more, like start some position drills and additional conditioning. Week four, some contact with more conditioning. Then, in week five he can go through a regular practice schedule and get in "game shape". He won't start against Chicago, and he may see only about 10-15 snaps. But if all goes according to plan, that would be the week he'll be activated and play.

Re: Poll: When will Nick Fairley play?
Even without Fairley, They reduced Suh's snaps in week 1 from the 95% of snaps he took last season down to 65%, so Fairley is going to end up taking Flu's snaps. Its just going to make us more consistent with our pass rush. If Fairley takes longer to come along, or its a close game, I believe Suh will end up taking a higher % of snaps. Lowering his % for even a few games is going to give him the longevity needed to keep fresh come the post season.
