It's not just that. They've thrown in 3rd and 2, or 3rd and 3 situations. That means Linehan has no trust in the running game on third down.
I know the other day Jim Schwartz said that the Lions need to start getting first downs more often, before facing third down. I would hope that the Lions would start coming up with some play calls that can get them 3 yards, whether by running or passing, when they need it...whether it be 2nd down or 3rd down.
What is all comes down to is that the Lions are VERY predictable on second and third downs.
