Here's some good news: PFT wrote: Stafford says he’s starting today in Denver Posted by Mike Florio on October 30, 2011, 10:51 AM EDT As the Lions try to stop a two-game slide in the Mile High city, they’ll have the services of quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Stafford tells Ed Werder of ESPN that the third-year player will indeed start on Sunday, despite a sprained ankle.
Stafford suffered the injury late in last Sunday’s loss to the Falcons. We were told after the game that Stafford fully intended to play with the bum ankle.
Whether the ankle holds up will be something to watch. As will be the question of whether Stafford will be able to find other options in the passing game with Champ Bailey and a safety trying to take away Calvin Johnson.

Champ is is old and a shell of his former self. Calvin should have a huge day today.

Bailey may be a shell of his former self but he will still be one of the best CBs thay CJ will face this year.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Broncos
Teblow is looking good, but he's going to get hurt if he keeps trying to be a rb or staying in the pocket on those long throws. He's gotten hammered a few times already

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Broncos
Wow. Look what happens when we use run formations and leave players in to pass protect. Never would have thought those would fix the issues we've had all year.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Broncos
I've said it in numerous threads--you just have to make that commitment to the run and the yards will come. Let's hope they don't get away from this approach when Best comes back.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Broncos
But keep in mind - Denver sucks
Also, I'm surprised linehan's started rolling cj to the slot to get him away from champ, who's been glued to him. Champ is still top notch

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Broncos
Because Morris and Williams both go forward. Morris lunges forward 1-2 yards every single time he touches the ball, and Williams just explodes into holes. Best while being a huge threat dances around to much sometimes and we get alot of negative plays. Almost none without him in. I like Best though but his style is just annoying sometimes.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Broncos
Fluellen looks horrible. He's getting stood up one on one and never gets any sort of leverage.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Broncos
Lions are playing lights out today!
Good job Offense!
and
Great Job Defense!
Only complaint I have is that damn shell defense we go into during the 4th qtr when we are winning. I really hate that, but I'm not going to complain!
GO LIONS!
