Are you planning on being in chat all day? We have another 8 hrs until the game, right?

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Saints
OK. I have pretty much talked myself into believing the Lions will win today. This just the kind of game the Lions would win under Wayne Fontes. Let's see some of that old magic tonight!
Our Offense can be every bit as potent as the Saints offense, despite our lack of a running game.
N.O. averages 4.8 yards per carry. We average 4.5
N.O. averages 26 rushing attempts per game. We average 23.3.
Saints are ranked 8th in Rushing and we are ranked 22.
But, I don't see a big difference here.
Saints average 8.0 yards per pass. and 41.9 attempts per game.
We average 7.1 and 40.5 respectively.
Saints are ranked in 1st and we are ranked 6th in Passing.
Saints are ranked in 1st in total Offense with 449.6 yards/game and we are 9th with 376.7 yards/game.
If we can get any increase from normal production from our RB's, our Offense can go tit for tat with N.O.
We are ranked 10th on total Defense. While the Saints are ranked 25th.
Now, I know we have some health issues Defensively and at RB. As well as a suspension to a major player on our D-line. But, we are very deep at D-line and should be able to pick up the slack for a couple of games. It is now time to see if any of our backups at DB are NFL worthy players. Time to put on your big boy pants younguns.

Did he hurt himself climbing out of bed this morning?

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Saints
The Lions need to move Kevin Smith to the defense, did you see the tackle on Vilma just awesome, dummy Lions are shooting themselves in the foot. Nothing new they do not know how to play without making penalties after penalties.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions at Saints
We needed that TD at the end of the half. Pett was open for it too.
I'm biased I know because I'm a Lions fan but can the Saints get a darn penalty called on them? I know holding happens every play, but they're getting some blatant holds that aren't called. And what happened on that fumble? Not even a review there? I can't wait til we're one of the elite teams so we can do whatever we want.

I didn't see any fumble but the Saint who blocked the FG was at least a full yard offside. Even if the kick had been good, they'd still be too far behind. The biggest problem has been the Lions' own errors. Need to play a clean game to have a shot.
