Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Vikings II
Fox just announced that Adrian Peterson is OUT this game, Ponder is IN.

That was way too close for comfort. I can't wait until Houston, Delmas and Suh are back in the lineup. Atlanta came back against Carolina so they're still ahead of us.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Vikings II
The Lions defense just did enough to win this game, also with the help of the officials on the last play of the game, Levy clearly grabbed the face mask of Webb and nothing was called. That would have given the Vikings a 1st down on the 1 yard line and probably would have resulted in a Lions loss. Where was the offense today. I would be very displeased if I were Swartz, and penalties again haunt this team.

The ref was in the right place and ponder's back was to him. There was no way to see the penalty.
It was ugly, but first time with 8 wins since 2000. I'll take it.

Chicago vs. Denver is 0-0 in the 2nd Quarter.
Shaping up to a Denver game.

Stuff happens. A win is a win, even if it's ugly!

How 'bout Alphonso? All the guy does is get interceptions. Really like him as our nickel guy.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Vikings II
Didn't want to start a new thread about no calls, but I'm watching the Raiders - Packers game and there was a bad one. Rodgers was scrambling out of the pocket and a pile of Packers and Raiders fell to the ground. A Raider broke out of his block and was chasing Rodgers, ran past that pile and fell down, because one of the Packers grabbed his legs while on the ground and tripped him. Should have been a hold but instead it a no call and the Pack ended the drive with a TD. Seriously what do the Packers have to do to get a penalty? The same thing was called a hold on Kevin Smith against the Saints and cost us a big play. BS officiating.

Did you see how Sanatana Moss tossed the ball to the Patriots on that interception? We're entering WWF territory now.

I really wish Denver had a legit QB right about now

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Vikings II
The Lions BARELY beating the Vikes just goes to show how far we have yet to go, to becoming a legitimate contender. Feel like we are a couple of solid drafts away yet.
