 Lions 2012 opponents
The 2012 schedule is just about set for the Lions in terms of which teams they will face. The Lions will have home games against Chicago, Minnesota, Green Bay, St. Louis, Seattle, Houston, Indianapolis and Atlanta. They’ll go on the road to face Chicago, Minnesota, Green Bay, Arizona, San Francisco, Jacksonville, Tennessee and the loser of Sunday’s New York/Dallas game. The Lions annual Thanksgiving Day game opponent will either be Houston or Indianapolis.
A monday night rematch with San Fran maybe??

 Re: Lions 2012 opponents
Looks like a pretty good schedule. If they can shore up the OL, LB, and S, they could be looking at another 11-5 type season

Not a bad schedule at all.

Like seeing the Tennessee Game on the away schedule. Looks like I'll get to see the Lions play in Nashville next year. I still want to get to Ford Field for a game.

 Re: Lions 2012 opponents
That looks like one of the easiest schedules that the Lions have had for years. Right now, it would include the four worst teams in the league this year and only four (GB twice tho) playoff teams. Depending upon what they do in free agency and the draft, I may have to predict 11-12 wins for them in 2012.

 Re: Lions 2012 opponents
It's a nice schedule. I just remembered it's the schedule we played when we went 0-16. OK I won't bring that up anymore. Can't wait to see who our prime time games are against.

Considering we play the Colts and Rams, it looks like theres a darn good chance we'll see Andrew Luck.

 Re: Lions 2012 opponents
One small correction to the schedule. The Lions will be playing the Eagles instead of the Cowboys next season. Unfortunately, I wish it were the other way around.

( I don't know how this was changed to Philly. But, anyhow. ) The Lions annual Thanksgiving Day game opponent will either be Houston or Indianapolis.
I don't see how everyone thinks this will be an easy schedule. I expect us to sweep Minny and Chicago and split with Green bay next year. I also expect St. Louis and Indianapolis to bounce back. They were both to talented to have stunk as bad this year as they did. Seattle is close to becoming a good team. Jacksonville is the only easy game on the schedule. All the rest are playoff teams except Arizona and Philly. Both should have been playoff teams this year if not for QB problems in Arizona and Philly under performing early in the season.
I see this schedule as somewhat tough. Why is it that every year, the teams on our schedule seem to get better just in time to play us? We just never seem to draw an easy schedule.

 Re: Lions 2012 opponents
I wouldn't count St. Louis as an automatic win next season. Yes, they struggled this year and will have a new coach in 2012. San Francisco struggled in 2010 and got a new coach for 2011. A few new pieces and they soared. The Rams could do the same. Bradford may not be a Stafford, but that doesn't make him cowpie material either. They need to get him some receivers, and perhaps some line upgrades. I have a strong feeling that if the Rams keep their second pick, they'll take Justin Blackmon. And that guy is just flat out scary good.

 Re: Lions 2012 opponents
I'm just happy that New Orleans isn't on their schedule next season. Other than Green Bay, the Lions have a legitimate shot against everyone else.
