Re: Free Agency date? Not sure, but I know the teams can start placing their tags on players before the free agency period begins. I think that starts the second week of February?

Re: Free Agency date? I have a FA question.
In the last CBA, the final 8 teams could not sign any FA's until they lost 1. And then they could only sign 1 for the same or less money.
Is that final 8 rule in the new CBA? If so, we were dangerously close to not being able to sign FA's this year.
It might just be a good thing we lost in the 1st round of the playoffs.
