What do you think the Raiders will give for him?

The Raiders can't afford him. They are still in cap hell. But, they might be willing to give up a 4th round pick for him if TY will rework his contract with them.

Fisher or Joekel or Lane Johnson for #5 overall. I have settled on Johnson as my preference. The only thing Joekel and Fisher have over him is experience at LT. 2 years from now, Lane Johnson will be known as the best LT of this draft!

I'd go Kitna on him and put him on IR.

He's only slated to earn $555k and $655k in salary in the next two years remaining on his contract. That's not much more than the veteran minimum. I think the Raiders could afford that...

Titus Young is a joke, I wish someone would ring his bell.

Who's birkett's source? Does he know the routes Titus was supposed to run? Highly doubt he knows the playbook
I was just about to say the same thing

Somebody asked Birkett whether PFT was twisting his words (as they often do) or if he was really implying Titus was consciously sabotaging things. His response: "I wrote it." So although he doesn't metion a source (named or unnamed), he stands by his assertion. In my opinion, Birkett is the best beat writer out there right now. I don't think he's making this up.

Birkett appears to be right on the money with this topic. When the T-day game coverage kept showing Shawn Jefferson yelling in the direction of Linehan many of us assumed that the two were fighting. MLIVE (Anwar Richardson) and Detnews (Chris McCosky) wrote articles where they tried reading Jefferson s lips and suggested Jefferson had a problem with Jefferson's playcalling, only it didnt make sense bc they presumed Jefferson was asking for Linehan to throw the ball when in fact they had just thrown the ball. Birkett at the same time, reported that Jefferson was telling Linehan to yank Titus Young and based on the aftermath of that situation Birkett s report seems to be the only one that makes any sense.

Agree with lomas - Birkett is probably the best beat writer. MLIVE justin rogers is also pretty good but he misses some things bc he has to split with anwar richardson who should look for a different line of work IMO. Anwar's articles really contribute nothing and when I read his Q &A sessions with players I get embarassed for him with the questions he asks.
