Re: GAMEDAY THREAD: Lions vs. Packers II
My thoughts are this. When....and I stress WHEN they get rolled by GB tonight, there has to be a real conversation as to whether or not Schwartz gets another season. I was a believer early on but have become a skeptic along the way. The team reflects his persona. Talented, but not level headed enough to make the proper decisions at the right moments. A team wide epidemic.
I was a fan, but I've been watching football for far too long to believe his way going forward. Thanks Jim for helping to make this team relevant again, but he's not the man to take us to the next level. We can't wait for him to gain enough experience to be a top notch NFL coach. I think Jim's next stop in the NFL will be his best. He'll learn from his mistakes here and be better for it, but this clubhouse is too far gone in the direction he created to ever get there.
Cowher is the answer. Discipline guy who brings a resume.

I feel like it could get really ugly tonight. If our secondary can slow down Rodgers enough, our offense should be able to keep up as long as we don't drop or fumble the football every other pass, we have a chance. We'll see though.

Win-win game.
Win = End Lambeau epic losing streak Lose = Better draft pick, Bears fall even lower in division (can't stand that team)

The only thing is, if they for some odd reason contain CJ enough, who else do we have that can beat the Packers?

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD: Lions vs. Packers II
You know every time I say the Lions will "definitely" lost this game, they ALWAYS play really well or come really close to winning.
Lions are gonna lose Lions are gonna lose Lions are gonna lose
(lets see if it works!)
Either way, I think Linehan is calling an excellent game plan so far. Love how they are mixing things up.

Kitties dominated the first half. Outside of staff not knowing you have to hang onto the ball in snow, the game has been all lions. Should be at least 17-3 lions

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD: Lions vs. Packers II
Seriously blatant holding on these running plays by the Packers and no calls. No wonder he has a huge lane to run through, the guy is being held away from the play!!
