 Re: Off-Season Moves
With the Bush signing, I have a feeling Mike Thomas is done.

 Re: Off-Season Moves
Rey had a horrible year last year. Do we really want him?

 Re: Off-Season Moves
Sammie Lee Hill is officially a member of the Titans. I wanted him back but I'm sure we can find a replacement, if Jones isn't already one.

 Re: Off-Season Moves
If Jones is SLH's replacement then we are short 2 starting DE's. Unless Avril tucks his tail and comes home. So best case we are still short 1. IMO DE is the position that we are hurting at the most.

IMO DE is the position that we are hurting at the most. Corey Williams has stated that he'll take a pay cut if needed and will be the third DT, and well probably get another late round project like SLH. I just don't see us getting JJ to be another DT. He will be a decent starting DE in the wide 9 scheme and a good starting DE in a traditional 4-3.

 Re: Off-Season Moves
Schwartz made it seem more like Jones will be KVB's replacement, so the Lions need to still replace Avril and get a 3rd DT for the rotation.

Apparently Suh restructured to free up space. His cap hit next season is gonna be huge.
Or I guess I should say even more huge than it already was going to be. yeah tahts not too too bad though. next year he'll cost about 20 mil BUT the year after is voidable, so his rediculous salary should only damage us for one year. The Signing Bonus still gets spread to the voidable year which I think is already around $6M in guaranteed money, so if they add $3M to each year as a signing bonus he will leave them with $9M in dead money just for voiding the last year. Garbage

 Re: Off-Season Moves
Well that sucks. I just posted the PFT article about how there had been no news on the Avril front along with my thoughts that perhaps we could bring him back. I'll be interested to hear the details of the deal.

 Re: Off-Season Moves
I have to wonder how good Avril really is at this point. I'm not saying he hasn't been a steady player, but I can't remember any DL the Lions have let go that suddenly lit up the highlight reels.

Cory redding just got himself a SB ring if I'm not mistaken... Other than that, what talent have we had on the line to lose?
