Post Press Coverage
I've been thinking about how different the defense will be next year, and I think the LBs would have it easier if the CBs played press coverage primarily. Houston is great at pressing WRs as long as they aren't TOO fast for him, which no WR in the division is, and pressing is a strength of Slay's and he, too, can keep up with any WR as long as his ball skills are there,

Slay isn't strong enough to run press man on NFL WRs yet. He has long arms, so once he adds some more strength he will be fine, but as of now he's just not ready at least not against the bigger vets. The Lions will probably still play a lot of off man coverage this season but hopefully with a smaller cushion now that they have a rangier safety to play with Delmas/Carey.

I think Gun would love to play more press but we just haven't had the personnel. Definitely think it's in the pipeline.

"There were a couple times where I was just like, 'Is that legal?" Warford said. "Cause he was getting laid out. I was like, 'Someone might call the cops. This is not fair.'"
