Lions activate Montell Owens from IR/DFR

The Lions swapped out one injured reserve guy for another Wednesday.

To clear the space needed to activate running back Montell Owens from injured reserve/designated for return, the Lions placed wide receiver Ryan Broyles on the season-ending version.

Broyles suffered a torn Achilles last week, leaving them short on receiving options other than expecting Calvin Johnson to go for three bills every week.

Owens injured his knee in the preseason, and his return should provide a boost to the Lions in the kicking game. He made the Pro Bowl twice for special teams with the Jaguars, and signed with the Lions in May.

Hate to say it, but we just don't win this kind of game.

I'm betting on a dominate performance by our D. I'll bet anyone that no one scores on us this week!

Watch our offense be all lethargic and not get anything going either....typical Lions.

CJ will be dogging it again this week that's for sure.

I heard Schwartz is already ready to challenge the bye for Zero players on the field. I hope those invisible refs know the rules.

I think we are ready for a letdown after that huge win against the boys. Plus we won't have that Ford Field crowd behind us this week. On the plus side, there is no way we turn the ball over 4 times again and I'm pretty sure our penalties should be down.

Lions are going to have a tough time this week due to time of possession.

Thoughts on the week:

QB: how embarassing it must be to get no yards on the week. Zero Zip Nada, PATHETIC. we may need a new QB if this happens again.Grade: F--

OL. dont let the offenses lack of performance fool you, the OLine played great. Not a single sack or pressue all week long, and while there were no holes blown up for the rushing game, it's hard to blaim the OLine when there wasn't a single attempt. Grade: A+

CJ: Even though he was inactive this week (which explains the offenses total lack of production) rumor has he he raked 150 yards this week. CJ sets the NFL record for most yardage raked in one weekend.Grade: Gold Star Sticker

Suh: 1 week where he will not get a fine! Grade: Value Sized lunches all week

Fuaria: Apologized for no TD dances in the past couple of weeks. Promises he has something up his sleeve! Grade: Raise the Roof

Leshoure: Not a single yard gained. Reported he asked if there has been a trade offer for him...only crickets respond...by laughing. Grade: One loan tear rolling down the cheek of a Native American

Nate: Had his Pizza Delivered this week. Grade: ABOUT TIME CHEAPA$$!

Raiola: Expect to see additional discapline following his outburst of screaming and swearing tirade this week. He could see the side effects of his tirade for several weeks. Grade: His Cat refuses to go near him anymore.

I have more. but ran out of time. To Be Continued!
